The Tourism Working GroupTourism is of fundamental importance to the Langport area. People come to the area to enjoy the delights of the Parrett Trail, historic sites like Muchelney Abbey and the Hanging chapel and the many cycling and walking routes available. Income from tourism related activity is crucial to the economy of the area. One of the objectives of the Forum is to try to identify future opportunities as well as ensuring the continuity of existing tourist activities and income while ensuring a co-ordinated approach to sustainable tourism.
