Cultural Festival

Langport & surrounding villages 15th to 20th May 2006

The Langport Area Development Trust has been awarded funding under the Civic Pioneer, “Together We Can” initiative, run by the Home Office. The funding is being used to hold a Cultural Festival, running from Monday 15th May to Saturday 20th May 2006.
The aim of the The Langport Cultural Festival is to help residents in and around the town experience different cultures by bringing them direct to their doorstep. Food is the focal point of the festival and Chefs from many different countries are visiting village halls throughout the week to offer residents the opportunity to sample different dishes. The event, organised by the Langport Area Development Trust will culminate in Langport on Saturday with an International Food Market from 11.30am until 3.00pm, and a host of bands and entertainment commencing at 12 noon and continuing throughout the day.
