Langport Book ClubLangport Book club welcomes anyone interested in reading a wide range of books and discussing them with others. We don't take ourselves too seriously or intellectualise the books we read. We meet at ArtTeaZen in Cheapside on the last Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm where we indulge in tea/coffee/wine to assist our musings. We are a friendly group and the object of the evening is to have an enjoyable one. Books are loaned from Langport Library (not currently under threat of closure) so you do not need to buy the books. We all read the same book each month. Previous books have included: Ann Karenina - Tolstoy, Rebecca - Daphne DuMaurier, Five Quarters of the Orange - Joanne Harris, Austerlitz - W. G. Sebald, some we have all enjoyed, others have only been liked by a few of us, all have provoked a wide range of opinions and lively discussion. Further details are available from Julia Gadd at 01458 251581.
